Our advice is available to everyone regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, nationality, disability or religion.

About us
Braintree, Halstead and Witham CAB runs a general advice service in the three market towns of Braintree, Halstead and Witham in Braintree District. Clients can receive either face-to-face advice at drop-in and appointment sessions or advice over the telephone.
We run advice sessions at various venues across the district in health centres, village halls and parish council offices.
We also offer a disability outreach service to assist clients in their homes to claim disability related benefits.
In addition we have a money advice service, based at our Witham offices, for clients with acute money problems.

The majority of advisers are trained volunteers, helping the Citizens Advice service to resolve over seven million new problems every year.
Our service couldn’t survive without our 21,500 fantastic volunteers, but we need around 5,000 more. We’re looking for all sorts of people with different backgrounds and skills to volunteer with us for a uniquely rewarding experience.

There are 338 Citizens Advice Bureaux across England and Wales, all of which are members of Citizens Advice.
Together, we are the Citizens Advice service, and we help people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.
